"Swinging for a Wish"
is a non-profit organization started in 2009 by PGA Professional Michael Rey. The goal of the organization is to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through the use of golf scrambles and other avenues agreed upon with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Michael has been a volunteer with Make-A-Wish since 2007. Prior to that, he helped organize golf scrambles benefitting Make-A-Wish. Michael Works out of Treetops Resort in Gaylord Michigan.
In six years of running golf scrambles, Michael has raised nearly $50,000. He also works with local Michigan sports teams to generate gifts and donations for the cause.
